Global contract manufacturer Jabil Inc. (St. Petersburg, Fl.) announced that Kenny Wilson has officially assumed the role of CEO. Wilson succeeds Mark Mondello who will remain with the company as executive chairman of the board. Wilson was also appointed to the board. Mondello was named chairman of the board in September 2021 as part of a planned transition from former chairman, Timothy Main, who retired at that time.

Mondello was named Jabil’s CEO in January 2013. He first started working for the company in 1992 as a manufacturing supervisor. In 2013, Jabil acquired Nypro, an injection molding giant with approximately 12,000 employees and manufacturing operations in 10 countries, including its Molding Institute.

Wilson has more than three decades of experience in the industry, including work in electronics manufacturing, supply chain management and customer engagement. He originally joined Jabil in 2000 in Livingston, Scotland, as a business unit coordinator. During his time at Jabil, Wilson grew and led several businesses, most recently heading up Jabil’s Green Point organization in Asia. Jabil has more than 250,000 employees across 100 locations in 30 countries.
